It’s unwise to compare ourselves to other people. 

มันไม่ฉลาดที่จะเปรียบเทียบตัวเองกับคนอื่น ๆ

We all have different gifts, different talents, and different temperaments. 

เราทุกคนมีของประทานที่แตกต่างกัน   ความสามารถที่แตกต่างกัน   และอารมณ์ที่แตกต่างกัน

God wants to use us, each in our own way. 

พระเจ้าทรงประสงค์จะใช้เรา    แต่ละคนตามวิถีทางของเราเอง

If you don’t be you, who’s going to be you?  There’s nobody like you.

หากคุณไม่ได้เป็นคุณ   ใครล่ะที่จะเป็นคุณ   ไม่มีใครที่จะเหมือนตัวคุณ

Don’t take it personally.  Don’t feel sorry for yourself. 

อย่าถือสาเอาเป็นเรื่องส่วนตัว  อย่าเสียใจสำหรับตัวเอง

Don’t allow it to make you negative. 

อย่าให้มันทำให้คุณมีคติเชิงลบ

Moses could have done this, but he didn’t.

โมเสสคงได้ทำแบบนี้ แต่ท่านไม่ได้ทำ

Anytime I’m angry at somebody in the church who’s disappointed me, I’m only hurting myself. 

เมื่อใดก็ตามที่ผมโกรธใครบางคนในคริสตจักร    ผู้ที่ทำให้ผมผิดหวัง ผมกำลังทำร้ายตัวเอง

It doesn’t change the situation.  It can’t reverse the past. 

มันไม่ได้เปลี่ยนแปลงสถานการณ์  มันไม่สามารถย้อนกลับสิ่งที่ผ่านมา

It can’t make any difference.  It just makes me upset.

มันไม่สามารถสร้างความแตกต่างใด ๆ   มันแค่ทำให้ผมอารมณ์เสีย

As we studied the life of Paul in Acts you may have noticed how many disappointments he had in people. 

ในฐานะที่เราศึกษาชีวิตของเปาโลในพระธรรมกิจการ    คุณอาจได้สังเกตเห็นว่าท่านได้เคยผิดหวังกับคนหลายครั้ง

He was disappointed, time and time again. 

ท่านได้ผิดหวังครั้งแล้วครั้งเล่า

But you never see him giving up.  Why? 

แต่คุณไม่เคยเห็นท่านเลิกล้ม ทำไมหรือ

He didn’t give up, because Paul was a leader. 

เปาโลไม่เลิกล้ม  เพราะท่านเป็นผู้นำ

If you are a leader you must expect to be misunderstood. 

หากคุณเป็นผู้นำ  คุณต้องคาดหวังว่าจะถูกคนเข้าใจผิด

It’s a fact of life, you will be misunderstood.       

มันเป็นความจริงของชีวิต    คุณจะถูกคนเข้าใจผิด

You cannot please everybody. 

คุณไม่สามารถทำให้ทุกคนพอใจ

In fact, trying to please everybody you’re guaranteeing you’re going to be hurt.  

ในความเป็นจริง   การพยายามที่จะทำให้ทุกคนพอใจ คุณกำลังรับประกันว่าคุณกำลังจะเจ็บปวด

Just about the time you get someone pleased, someone else gets upset. 

เพียงแค่เวลาที่คุณทำให้บางคนพอใจ   คนอื่นบางคนก็ได้รับความทุกข์ใจ

Even God can’t please everybody. 

แม้พระเจ้าก็ไม่ทรงสามารถทำให้ทุกคนพอใจได้

One person is praying for rain today. 

บุคคลหนึ่งกำลังภาวนาให้ฝนตกในวันนี้

Someone else is saying they want it to be sunny.  What do you do? 

คนอื่นบางคนกำลังบอกว่าพวกเขาต้องการให้แดดจ้า  คุณจะทำยังไงล่ะ

What do you do when you’re disappointed?

คุณจะทำอย่างไรเมื่อคุณผิดหวัง

You give it over to the Lord. 

คุณมอบถวายแด่พระเจ้า

Moses didn’t cry out at the people. 

โมเสสไม่ได้ร้องไห้ใส่ประชาชน

He didn’t take out his frustration on the people. 

ท่านไม่ได้ระบายความอึดอัดของท่านใส่ประชาชน

He took his frustration to the Lord. 

ท่านได้ระบายความอึดอัดใจของท่านแด่พระเจ้า

Don’t take it out on people, talk it out with the Lord. 

อย่าเอามันมาระบายต่อประชาชน  จงนำไปทูลต่อพระเจ้า

That’s the key to disappointment. 

นั่นเป็นกุญแจสำคัญต่อความผิดหวัง

You don’t take it out on people, you talk it out with the Lord.

คุณอย่าเอามันมาระบายต่อประชาชน   คุณจงนำไปทูลต่อพระเจ้า

Notice it says, “Lord, I’m crying out to You.”   Give it to God.  Let it go.  You don’t hang on to it. 

สังเกตที่กล่าวว่า "ข้าแต่พระเจ้า   ผมกำลังร้องทูลต่อพระองค์" มอบถวายแด่พระเจ้า ปล่อยมันไปเถอะ   คุณอย่าไปยึดติดกับมัน

Instead of Moses feeling sorry for himself, instead of gossiping to Aaron about it, lining up people on his side, he prayed about it.  He told God about it.

แทนที่โมเสสรู้สึกเสียใจกับตัวเอง   แทนที่จะนินทาอาโรนเกี่ยวกับเรื่องนี้    ท่าน เรียงแถวประชาชนอยู่ข้างๆท่าน  ท่านได้อธิษฐานเกี่ยวกับเรื่องนี้  ท่านได้ทูลพระเจ้าเกี่ยวกับเรื่องนี้

1 Peter 1 เปโตร 5:7 casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

จงละความกระวนกระวายของท่านไว้กับพระองค์   เพราะว่าพระองค์ทรงห่วงใยท่านทั้งหลาย 

Let God handle it.  He can take it and turn it around. 

ขอให้พระเจ้าทรงจัดการเอง   ท่านสามารถใช้มันและแปรเปลี่ยนมัน

God is the master of reversing hurts. 

พระเจ้าทรงเป็นเจ้านายในการพลิกกลับรอยเจ็บปวด

Am I going to complain like the Israelites and die in the desert?  Or am I going to trust God?  

ผมกำลังบ่นเหมือนอิสราเอลและตายในทะเลทรายหรือ   หรือผมกำลังให้ความไว้วางใจพระเจ้า

Because Moses responded correctly, look at what God did. 

เพราะโมเสสตอบสนองอย่างถูกต้อง     ท่านมองดูสิ่งที่พระเจ้าได้ทรงกระทำ

Then God reversed the problem. 

จากนั้นพระเจ้าทรงพลิกกลับปัญหานั้น

In verse 25, it says God showed him a piece of wood. 

ในข้อ 25 กล่าวว่า   พระเจ้าได้ทรงสำแดงให้ท่านเห็นไม้อันหนึ่ง

He threw it into the water and then the water became sweet. 

ท่านได้โยนมันลงไปในน้ำแล้วน้ำกลายเป็นมีรสหวาน

God had provided the solution.  It was there all the time. 

พระเจ้าได้ทรงเตรียมคำตอบไว้แล้ว   มีปัญหาอยู่ตลอดเวลา

But it didn’t happen until Moses committed it to God.

แต่มันไม่ได้เกิดขึ้นจนกว่าโมเสสมอบถวายโดยทูลต่อพระเจ้า

God had the solution that would turn a bitter situation into sweetness. 

พระเจ้าทรงมีคำตอบ    ที่ทรงเปลี่ยนสถานการณ์ที่น้ำรสขมให้กลายเป็นมีรสหวาน

He had a piece of wood that would turn that which was distasteful into something that was pleasant and enjoyable. 

ท่านมีไม้อันหนึ่ง ซึ่งจะเปลี่ยนที่ซึ่งน่ารังเกียจให้เป็นบางสิ่ง  ที่เป็นที่น่าพอใจและน่า

ชื่นชม

Notice it doesn’t say that God created a piece of wood.  It was already there. 

ขอให้ทราบว่า   ไม่ได้บอกว่าพระเจ้าทรงสร้างไม้อันนั้น  มันมีอยู่ก่อนแล้ว

God showed him a piece of wood. 

พระเจ้าทรงสำแดงให้ท่านเห็นไม้อันนั้น

The tree had been there all along.   

ต้นไม้ได้เคยอยู่ที่ตรงนั้นมาตลอด

The tree made the bitter water sweet. 

ต้นไม้ทำน้ำขมให้หวานได้

This was the solution to the problem. 

นี่เป็นคำตอบต่อปัญหาที่เกิดขึ้น

Just like the cross of Christ is the solution for the sin problem that each person has. 

เช่นเดียวกับกางเขนของพระคริสต์เป็นคำตอบของปัญหาความบาปที่แต่ละคนมี

The problem that many of us have with disappointments is we get so caught up in the disappointments that we don’t see that the solution is right there before our eyes and we take the first way out that will help us feel better! 

ปัญหาที่เราหลายคนมีพร้อมกับความผิดหวังคือ     เราติดอยู่กับความผิดหวังจนเราไม่เห็นว่าการแก้ปัญหาอยู่ตรงนั้นต่อหน้าสายตาของเรา   และเราหาทางออกเองก่อนเพื่อที่จะช่วย

ให้เรารู้สึกดีขึ้น!

You will never see God’s solution as long as you’re in self-pity. 

คุณจะไม่มีวันเห็นการแก้ปัญหาของพระเจ้า   ตราบใดที่คุณยังสงสารตัวเองอยู่

You’ve got to pray. 

คุณต้องได้อธิษฐาน

You’ve got to let God show you. 

คุณต้องได้ยอมให้พระเจ้าทรงสำแดงแก่คุณ

“God, what is the solution to this disappointment” and God can show it to you – a thing that will turn bitterness into sweetness.

"ข้าแต่พระเจ้า    อะไรคือวิธีแก้ปัญหาความผิดหวัง" และพระเจ้าทรงสามารถสำแดงแก่คุณ - สิ่งที่จะเปลี่ยนความขมให้กลายเป็นความหวาน

They are in Sinai, in the middle of the desert and here’s a paradise, an oasis, all the water they could want. 

พวกเขาอยู่ในซีนาย    ในกลางทะเลทราย     และที่นี่เป็นสวรรค์   โอเอซิส   น้ำทั้งหมดที่พวกเขาอาจต้องการ

Elim – twelve springs, seventy palm trees. 

เอลิม – น้ำพุสิบสองแห่ง  ต้นปาล์มเจ็ดสิบต้น

It’s a place of great refreshment right in the middle of a dried out experience.

มันเป็นสถานที่ของความสดชื่นใหญ่หลวงตรงกลางของประสบการณ์ที่แห้งแล้ง

How far is Elim from Marah?  Not very far, just around the corner with a surplus of water. 

เอลิมอยู่ไกลแค่ไหนจากมาราห์    ไม่ไกลมากนัก    เพียงแค่ตรงมุมนั้น   ที่มีน้ำมหาศาลเกินพอ

Yet they’re complaining and ready to give up. 

แต่กระนั้น  พวกเขายังคงบ่นและพร้อมที่จะยอมแพ้

The lesson I think here is too often we stop too soon. 

บทเรียนที่ผมคิดว่า    ที่นี่บ่อยครั้งมากที่เราหยุดเร็วเกินไป

We get disappointed, we get discouraged, we quit, when Elim is just a few kilomters away, just around the corner. 

เรารู้สึกผิดหวัง     เราท้อแท้ใจ    เราเลิกล้ม    เมื่อเอลิมอยู่ห่างเพียงไม่กี่โลเมตรเท่านั้น   แค่ห่างออกไปเพียงมุมถนนนั้น

I think the point is don’t quit. 

ผมคิดว่าประเด็นก็คือ  อย่าเลิกล้ม

A game of sports is often won in the last two or three seconds. 

บ่อยครั้งที่เกมกีฬามักจะได้รับชัยชนะในช่วงสองหรือสามวินาทีสุดท้าย

Elim is just right down the road.  Don’t give up.

เอลิมแค่อยู่ทางด้านขวาลงไปที่ถนน   จงอย่ายอมแพ้

How do you get from Marah to Elim? 

คุณจะเดินทางออกจากมาราห์ไปสู่เอลิมได้อย่างไร

To get there you keep on going while trusting God.

เพื่อจะไปถึงที่นั่นได้   คุณยังต้องไว้วางใจพระเจ้าต่อไป

Notice it doesn’t say that God brought Elim to them.  He didn’t. 

ขอให้ทราบว่าไม่ได้บอกว่า   พระเจ้าทรงนำเอลิมมาถึงพวกเขา  ไม่ได้ทรงทำเช่นนั้น

Elim was there, a few kilometers away, but they had to reach it by keeping on going in spite of their feelings, in spite of their disappointment and discouragement. 

เอลิมอยู่ที่นั่น   อยู่ห่างออกไปไม่กี่กิโลเมตร  แต่พวกเขาต้องไปให้ถึง   โดยการเดินต่อไปไปไม่ว่ามีความรู้สึกยังไง   ถึงแม้ว่าพวกเขามีความผิดหวังและหมดกำลังใจ

You may say, “I don’t feel like praying.  I don’t feel like trusting.  I don’t feel like giving.  I don’t feel like serving.  I don’t feel like worshiping.  What should I do?” 

คุณอาจจะพูดว่า "ผมไม่รู้สึกอยากอธิษฐาน   ผมไม่รู้สึกอยากไว้วางใจ  ผมไม่รู้สึกอยากจะแจกจ่ายให้ ผมไม่รู้สึกอยากจะรับใช้   ผมไม่รู้สึกเอยากนมัสการบูชา  ผมควรทำอย่างไร?"

You need to keep on praying, you keep on trusting, you keep on serving, you keep on giving. 

คุณจำเป็นต้องอธิษฐานต่อไป    คุณยังต้องไว้วางใจต่อไป    คุณยังต้องรับใช้ต่อไป คุณยังคงแจกจ่ายให้ต่อไป

You just keep on going.  Don’t give up and die in the desert.  

คุณเพียงแค่กระทำต่อไป   อย่ายอมแพ้และตายในทะเลทราย

People may say, “My heart isn’t in it any more.  I’ve lost my heart for living the Christian life.  What do you do?”  You just keep going.

ประชาชนอาจพูดว่า "หัวใจของผมไม่ได้อยู่ในนั้นอีกเลย    ผมหมดใจในชีวิตคริสเตียน คุณจะทำยังไง”   เพียงแค่คุณทำต่อไป

We lose heart a lot of times. 

พวกเราหมดใจหลายครั้ง

The Bible says not to lose heart. 

พระคัมภีร์กล่าวว่าจงอย่าหมดใจ

Can you imagine somebody in the church calling up their boss at work saying, “I’m not coming in today.  My heart just isn’t in it.  And I knew you wouldn’t want me to be a hypocrite.  I’m just going to stay home and watch TV today because my heart really isn’t in it.” 

คุณสามารถนึกภาพใครบางคนในคริสตจักรกำลังเรียกเจ้านายของพวกเขาที่ทำงาน  พูดว่า "ผมไม่ได้มาทำงานในวันนี้   หัวใจของผมแค่ไม่ได้อยู่ในงาน     และผมรู้ว่าคุณไม่อยากให้ผมเป็นคนปากว่าตาขยิบ    ผมแค่อยากไปพักผ่อนที่บ้านและดูโทรทัศน์วันนี้    เพราะหัวใจของผมไม่ได้อยู่ในงาน "

The boss would say, “I don’t care if your heart’s in it or not, get on in and get to work!” 

เจ้านายจะพูดว่า "ผมไม่สนหรอกว่าหัวใจของคุณอยู่ในนั้นหรือไม่     ดำเนินต่อไปและกลับไปทำงานต่อ!"

Only immature people live by their feelings. 

เฉพาะคนที่ยังไม่บรรลุนิติภาวะใช้ชีวิตอยู่ด้วยความรู้สึกของตนเอง

Mature people live by their commitments rather than their feelings. 

คนที่เป็นผู้ใหญ่แล้วใช้ชีวิตโดยทำตามภาระผูกพันของพวกเขามากกว่าใช้ความรู้สึก

They serve in the Christian life, not because it always feels good. 

พวกเขารับใช้ในชีวิตคริสเตียน    ไม่ใช่เพราะมันรู้สึกดีเสมอไป

They serve in the Christian life because it’s the right thing to do.

พวกเขารับใช้ในชีวิตคริสเตียน  เพราะมันเป็นสิ่งถูกต้องสมควรที่ต้องทำ

You’ll have a lot of bad things happen to you in the Christian life. 

คุณจะมีสิ่งเลวร้ายมากมายเกิดขึ้นในชีวิตคริสเตียนของคุณ

But it all fits into a pattern for good. 

แต่ทั้งหมดพอเหมาะพอดีเพื่อให้เกิดผลดี

So even those people who are disappointing you, discouraging you, criticizing you, God has a plan greater than that. 

ดังนั้นแม้คนเหล่านั้นที่กำลังทำให้คุณผิดหวัง   ทำให้คุณท้อใจ   วิพากษ์วิจารณ์คุณ  พระเจ้าทรงมีแผนการที่ยิ่งใหญ่กว่านั้น

The thing I’ve learned so far in the Christian life is that God’s purpose for my life is much greater than the problems and the people in my life. 

สิ่งที่ผมได้เรียนรู้มากถึงขณะนี้ในชีวิตคริสเตียน   คือว่าพระประสงค์ของพระเจ้าสำหรับชีวิตของผมสำคัญกว่าปัญหาทั้งหลายและผู้คนในชีวิตของผม

No matter what problem you face, God’s purpose is greater than the problem. 

ไม่ว่าคุณเผชิญกับปัญหาใด   พระประสงค์ของพระเจ้าสำคัญยิ่งกว่าปัญหา

It may be that you’re feeling like you’re living at Marah and you’re facing a difficult or bitter or distasteful time in your life. 

มันอาจจะทำให้คุณรู้สึกเหมือนคุณกำลังอยู่ที่มาราห์    และคุณกำลังเผชิญกับช่วงเวลาที่ยากลำบากหรือขมขื่นหรือน่ารังเกียจในชีวิตคุณ

It’s a difficult situation to swallow.  It’s like bitter water – no fun. 

มันเป็นสถานการณ์ที่ยากลำบากที่จะกลืนได้   มันเหมือนน้ำขม - ไม่สนุกเลย

It may be spiritually or emotionally or physically or financially…you’re drained. 

มันอาจจะเป็นฝ่ายจิตวิญญาณหรืออารมณ์หรือทางร่างกายหรือทางการเงิน ... คุณถูกระบายน้ำออกไป

You did not miss God’s will.  Marah is on the map. 

คุณไม่ได้พลาดพระประสงค์ของพระเจ้า มาราห์อยู่บนแผนที่นั้น

God knows exactly where you are. 

พระเจ้าเท่านั้นที่ทรงทราบว่าคุณอยู่ที่ไหน

God is leading you through this experience, just as definitely as He led the Israelis to Marah and through it.

พระเจ้ากำลังทรงนำคุณผ่านประสบการณ์นี้    อย่างที่แน่นอนเมื่อพระองค์ทรงนำพาอิสราเอลไปยังมาราห์และผ่านไปได้

I encourage you to think of that cross on Mt. Calvary where Jesus hung on it to die for our sins. 

ผมขอหนุนใจคุณ  ให้คุณคิดถึงไม้กางเขนที่ภูเขาโกละโกธา   ที่ซึ่งพระเยซูทรงถูกตรึงอยู่บนนั้น  ทรงยอมตายเพราะบาปของเรา

Remember Calvary and let Jesus Christ heal the hurt and resentment and bitterness that you’ve experienced at your personal Marah, and you’ll find new power for Christian life.  the difference was the tree cast in the water.

จดจำที่กางเขนและยอมให้พระเยซูคริสต์รักษาความเจ็บปวด   และความไม่พอใจและความขมขื่น   ที่คุณเคยมีประสบการณ์ส่วนตัวที่มาราห์ และคุณจะพบกำลังใหม่สำหรับชีวิตคริสเตียน   ความแตกต่างคือต้นไม้ที่โยนลงไปในน้ำ

That tree, in our case, being the cross of Jesus Christ, which so transforms everything in our lives, and makes the bitter to become sweet.

ในกรณีของเรา   ต้นไม้เป็นไม้กางเขนของพระเยซูคริสต์    ซึ่งเปลี่ยนสภาพทุกอย่างในชีวิตของเรา    และทำให้ความขมขื่นกลายเป็นรสหวาน
