On Saturday, Aim (their 17 year old son) and I hiked to the top of Tiger Cave Mountain, there are steps all the way up, 1,237 of them. It was worth it, the view was spectacular. We went to several
beaches following that. Saw some badly damaged boats being repaired, but little other evidence of the Tsunami.
Ao Nang is one
of the beach cities and has some 83 islands
scattered around. Each one of these islands
are a short distance away from one another.
And during low tides, you can even wade your
way to the neighboring island. The
majestic looking limestone cliffs rising
straight from calm, clear waters of the sea
and the long beach line that runs the whole
length are quite beautiful.
Hat Noppharart Thara beach is on the western
side of Krabi town. The park covers an
extensive area of the main land and 80
islands including the Phi Phi Islands. Just
as in the case of Ao Nang , during low
tides, it is possible to reach other islands
in the bay on foot.
At night we ate near the harbor at Krabi and saw a Chinese Buddhist celebration.
