Five of them were
Thai, two from South Africa,
one from India, one from
Australia, one from
Singapore and three
Americans. They are on DTS
from the Chiang Rai base in
northern Thailand led by a
young Thai lady named
Wilawan.
Kevin and Tar came back with
us from Hat Yai the end of
February while the rest of
the team ministered in
Penang Malaysia, where they
met our last World Race
Team! Then the other team
members joined us here for
the last three weeks of
March. Our new truck
was in the shop for nearly
two weeks, so thankfully the
team was able to borrow a
van from Pastor Wasan in
Phang Nga. The team
helped a great deal with
weed cutting, street clean
up, some evangelism, church
on Wednesday and Sunday,
Saturday Kid's Club and
giving their testimonies on
the radio. They had
about four days off, with
team time and devotions at
the end because of a bad
storm.
We enjoyed having Mitch
and Raelyn living next
door. They are
middle aged from
California like us,
wonderful people.
We also enjoyed having
Uap, his wife Coleen and
their daughter Roseanne
in the other room next
door. Uap is Thai
but was a led to Christ
by a missionary from
South Africa. He
moved there to study and
met Coleen and they were
married seven years
later. About two
years ago they moved
from South Africa to
Chiang Rai in Northern
Thailand. Both
these couples are
planning to serve long
term with YWAM Thailand
in HIV/Aids home for
children in Chiang Rai
called Home of the Open
Heart see
http://www.ywamthai.org/homeoftheopenheart/
. Kevin also is
going to serve there
with his fianc Kwan.
The other team members
stayed upstairs in
Community Center /
Church.
We have been in a tropical storm monsoon for five days. The heavy rains
and flooding closed airports in Nai Khon Si Thamarat and Koh Samui. Our
own Phuket airport has remained open. There was a heavy mud slide
affecting villages in Krabi, people were killed, homes destroyed, and people are
missing. nationmultimedia.com reported: Massive landslide
destroys 100 households; many still missing; Floods continue to wreak havoc;
710,000 now affected; Satun and Phuket get warning. Days of downpours triggered
a leviathan landslide that swallowed up an entire village of about 100
households in Krabi's Khao Phanom district, leaving 10 residents reported dead
and many more missing.
Last month the radio station was down for a week and then a few days ago the
storm knocked out the broadcast antenna again. Please pray the rain will
stop, people can repair from the flooding, help rescue workers, comfort those
who suffered loss, and that the radio station will be restored.
I taught four mornings in March and will teach two more in April, seven teens
and two adults. I am doing an overview of Romans and 1 Corinthians.
I also taught them six hymns, such as Amazing Grace Then I asked them to
sing that one in Korean.
We fly from Phuket to Bangkok on Air Asia the night

preaching, teaching Bible studies or Sunday School classes, we both or
individually can share about our
missionary work in Thailand. Cindy can speak to women's groups and
children's groups. Wednesday and Sunday evenings are open. So please let us know how we can serve you.
We were in need of a second
vehicle because of
transporting teams of
volunteers and in the rainy
weather when I cant ride my
motorcycle. We have found a
used double cab Toyota truck
for $3,000 we think this
will be quite suitable and
was at a good price. We
paid $1,000 down, with
regular payments through
June 15. If we pay if
off in full then, there is
no interest. Please
pray the Lord will provide
for this. We have had to do some repairs on it to bring it up to
full working order. We need $1700 to pay it off in June
Praise the Lord we get to visit family and friends, this month and next.
We aver very excited.
Praise the Lord for
the Bangkok Phuket Hospital
who will allow me to
serve on call as a volunteer
and are working on details
for regular visitation.
I look forward to attending
the Healthcare Chaplain's
Ministry Association
conference at the Calvary
Chapel conference center in
Murrieta May 1- 4.
Praise the Lord the need for
more pastoral care and
discipleship is being
met, and the pulpit filled
during our time in the U.S.
We have a new Friday care
group led by Pastor Wuut.
Praise the Lord for Eric and
MJ and their two daughter
who came to visit a few days
last month. Eric
pastors two churches in
Sukothai and now oversees
the Calvary Chapel work in
Thailand and Myanmar in
place of the late Pastor
James.
Pray for storm victims
especially in Krabi province
and for restoring our local
radio station
Pray for YWAM Southern Thailand and for Phil and Yvette Anderson. Phil
resigned as regional director and they will be in the USA for six months
regrouping and applying for Yvette's citizenship (she is Australian.)
Perhaps you will get to meet them as Phil's sister lives in Lake Arrowhead.
Pray for open doors of
opportunity to speak in
California and Oregon in
April and May, would especially like to speak in some other Calvary Chapel
churches and in supporting churches.
Pray for another $1,700 to pay off the truck
Pray the Lord of the Harvest to call, equip, and send laborers into this
difficult but ready for-harvest field.
Pray for Wuut and David as they preach and teach in our village of Thachatchai,
and on the radio that many
more people will come to faith in Christ.
Thanks for your partnership with us, we greatly appreciate your support through
prayer and financial giving. God bless you, Dana and Cindy
