Lampang is approximately 100 kilometers south of Chiang Mai, the largest city in the north of Thailand. There are only a few churches in the city yet there is a lot of potential for people to come to know Christ. Pastor Wiwian and the congregation of Lampang Full Gospel Church currently have around 70-80 members who are reaching out to the local community and government schools (kindergarten all the way through high school). Your team can go into the local school to teach fun and informal English, hold a VBS for local kids, as well participate in various church cell groups. There are teachers in each of the local schools that are now interested in learning more about God, His love and how to come to church – something very easy for your team to share! There is also a nursing school in the area that has some Christians where you can hold activities with them. There are also ministry opportunities with local youth, church ministry, evangelism, prayer walking as well as ministry opportunities in and around the community of Lampang.
