Fang Good News Church is located about 3 hours drive north of Chiang Mai city. Fang is a very strategic place for evangelism because there are many tribes and people groups living together in the area. Fang Good News Church is a small church of 40-50 people but they have a big heart in reaching out to the people in the district of Fang, Mae Ai, and Chaiprakan. These three towns are comprised of almost 50,000 people! Fang is so diverse that you will find individuals who are Northern Thai, Shan, Chinese, Lahu, Ahka and Palong. Fang Good News Church currently partners with Compassion for Christ and the Isaiah 61 Project which gives out scholarships to poor kids in the area. The church also run a VBS for poor kids every Saturday and in the process invites the parent to church on Sunday. The ministry opportunities abound for your team as you may have the opportunity to participate in teaching English in schools, open air evangelism, passing out tracts, visiting with villagers, playing with kids, prayer walks and sharing your testimonies with local people!
