Located only a few hours from Phuket – lies the tourist town of Khao Lak and another 30 minutes north is Ban Nam Khem. When the tsunami of December 26th hit 2+ years ago, Khao Lak was one of the hardest hit areas and is still in the process of recovery. Pastor James and the folks at Calvary Chapel would love to have your team come and partner with them as they seek to bring hope and healing to the people of Khao Lak and surrounding communities. There are opportunities for your team to build homes for those families that lost their home, teach English in local schools, visit an orphanage and prayer walk in and around several area communities. Your team can also go to the local jail on Wednesday and do ministry with men and women, both Thai and Burmese. On Saturdays your team can also hold a fun day for local area kids and on Sunday your team can participate in church service by sharing testimonies, dramas, and proclaim God in a part of Thailand that is coming to know him more and more everyday! You may also assist the Calvary Chapel at the Bridge, a church plant in Thachatchai (Phuket) led by Pastor Dana and  his wife Cindy Bratton.

Vision - To start a women’s ministry through working with prostitutes in Patong, Phuket. To continue our church planting work in Thachatchai,, our work with prisoners in Udonthani and Phang Nga and to continue to run a Christian radio station in Baan Num Khem as a tool to reach out to the community. To buy a property so that we can build a school for 75+ Burmese children and to see teams continue to invest in our sister churches in Sukhothai and Udonthani.
