36. Community Center – Koh Kho Khao

In January of 2005, shortly after the devastation of the tsunami, a large group of volunteers were able to build a large number of homes for those that that had lost so much. Following the departure of these volunteers, Pastor Preecha felt that something needed to be done to carry on the good work that had begun. This vision led to the building of the Community Center. The Community Center is a place where the community participates in various ways by coming for recreational needs, life skills development, English and computer skills needs, nursery and child care needs etc. Your team can help with the construction phase (electrical, plumbing, concrete, woodworking, landscaping), as well as be active in the early stages of evangelism as opportunities arise. Your team can also lead worship, share your testimony, build relationships with the locals, and help develop and participate in recreational activities for youth! Your team can continue to demonstrate that, even in the midst of devastation, there is hope in God!
