35. Local Thai Church - Samut Prakarn
Samut Prakarn Church is located about 30 minutes outside of Bangkok.
The church is run by Pastor Chaiyut and his vibrant congregation of
35-45 people, of which about a dozen are teenagers. Pastor Chaiyut has
hosted many YWAM teams before and is always excited to have teams come
and partner with him in sharing Jesus with all! Samut Prakarn Church has
a burden to reach out to the poor in several local slums and your team
will have plenty of opportunities to go there and minister. Pastor
Chaiyut also has a plethora of contacts available for your team to go
and teach English in local grade schools, high schools and universities.
There will also be opportunities to do evangelism in an open air setting
at the local market, passing out tracts and even going on prayer walks
in the area! Youll also be able to plug into the life of the church by
participating in bible studies, interacting with the congregation and,
of course, helping in the Sunday service...your team will be able to do
dramas, share testimonies, help lead worship and even preach the
message! |
