28. Hope Cards Slum Ministry– Bangkok
In the slums of Bangkok, Hope Cards reaches out the poorest of the
poor offering hope and a brighter future. Through this YWAM ministry, we
are able to give over a dozen women the opportunity to provide for their
family as well as hear about the Good News of Jesus Christ. There are
many opportunities for ministry with service projects being one of the
most urgent needs that exist. If your church group or team is interested
in helping to make simple improvements to peoples homes, build sidewalks
for the elderly or provide a roof for the local doctors clinic....then
Hope Cards has a place for you and your construction skills! There is
also a wide open door to teach English to the kids and youth of the
slum, as many kids want to learn English and are looking for someone
like you to practice with! There is also the opportunity to participate
in the local Thai church by doing dramas, dances, leading worship,
sharing testimonies and even preaching the message. Your team may also
have the opportunity to hold a weekend VBS, play games with the
neighborhood kids, visit an orphanage and prayer walk...! For further
