100. Ministry to the Karen People – Om Koi Wright Dee has devoted his life to ministering to the isolated Karen people of Northern Thailand. There are many different avenues of ministry but the main focus is going to various mountain villages and hostels and providing medical clinics, passing out blankets, clothing and food to adults and youth. Your team will have the opportunity to go to such villages as Mae Chaem, Tee Kay Kee, Nong Tau and Mae Ramaung and demonstrate “Love in Action”. For instance, in Nong Tau, there is a hostel that currently takes care of 40 little children. In another village there is a hostel that cares for over 130 kids! In the village of Tee Kay Kee, your team can go further to a new hostel that last year had 43 kids and now has 74 kids and still more want to come. Some of the kids are suffering from boils (wound), skin disease and cold. They often have a fever as the area can get quite cold in the winter and the kids are poor. Your team can also join in the Christian activities of the church.
